Number of Sessions Required

The number of sessions required varies depending on the reason for accessing treatment. Medicare rebates are available for up to ten sessions per calendar year. Those who continue in therapy often use Private Health cover to claim additional rebates.

Frequency of Sessions

The majority of individuals attend therapy weekly. In some circumstances fortnightly or monthly sessions are conducted.

Duration of Sessions

The duration of sessions is approximately 50 minutes.

Dr Maggie Hall 

Dr Maggie Hall is the founder of Inner South Psychology Melbourne. She is a registered clinical psychologist with over ten years’ experience. Maggie uses a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to treat a wide variety of difficulties in adults of all ages. She specialises in the treatment of anxiety and depression as well as stress, relationship difficulties, low self esteem, adjustment, life transitions, problems at work, sleep difficulties, loss, grief, addictions and managing difficult emotions.

Dr Maggie Hall uses evidenced based treatments and therapy is tailored to the individual needs and situation of the client. Sound clinical judgment is used to determine the mode of treatment and strategies used. Maggie specialises in the provision of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) as well as mindfulness based treatments such as Mindful Self Compassion. She additionally uses psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing and strengths based treatments. She provides both short and longer term treatment depending on the needs of the individual.

Dr Maggie Hall has worked across a range of mental health settings including The Melbourne Clinic and The Alfred Community Mental Health Service. She has also lectured in the Doctor of Clinical Psychology program at Deakin University and has been a clinical associate at Swinburne University.
